At Up All Night Baking, every cake, cupcake, cookie, and specialty dessert is handcrafted in small batches and made specifically for each customer. Because of the custom and perishable nature of our products, our return and exchange policy is outlined below.
No Returns on Perishable Goods
All baked goods are final sale.
Due to food safety regulations and the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been picked up.
Custom Orders
Custom cakes and specialty desserts are designed and created based on the details approved by the customer prior to pickup. Once the design, flavors, and specifications are confirmed, changes cannot be made after production begins.
Deposits for custom orders are non-refundable. Deposits secure your date and cover planning, design preparation, and ingredient purchasing.
Order Review at Pickup
Customers are encouraged to inspect their order at the time of pickup.
Once the order leaves our premises, Up All Night Baking is not responsible for:
- Damage during transportation
- Exposure to heat or sunlight
- Improper storage
- Accidental mishandling
We recommend transporting cakes on a flat, stable surface in a temperature-controlled vehicle.
Quality Concerns
If you believe there is a problem with your order related to a quality or fulfillment error, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup.
Include:
- Your name
- Order details
- Clear photos of the product
- A description of the concern
We take customer satisfaction seriously and will review concerns on a case-by-case basis. If an error was made on our part, an appropriate resolution may be offered at our discretion.
Flavor and Design Subjectivity
Taste and design preferences are subjective. Refunds or exchanges will not be provided based on personal taste preferences or minor design variations. While we strive to closely match inspiration photos and requested details, each cake is an original, handcrafted creation.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please notify us as soon as possible.
- Deposits are non-refundable
- Cancellations made close to the pickup date may not qualify for any refund due to preparation and ingredient costs
Weekly Bakes
Items purchased from weekly bake offerings are also final sale and non-refundable once picked up.
Cottage Food Law Notice
All products are prepared in a licensed home kitchen under the Illinois Cottage Food Law. Because items are food products made for immediate consumption, they cannot be returned once delivered to the customer.
